Wushu is both a performance and full-contact sport which evolved from traditional Chinese martial arts. It became the official sport of the Peoples Republic of China in the year 1949 in an attempt to nationalize the practice of Chinese martial arts. The Chinese Martial Arts Academy strives at sharing all the benefits of learning Wushu.
Canadian Team Trials
Congratulations to Grace Wiebe for becoming the first athlete in Saskatchewan to compete at the Canadian Junior Wushu Team Trials. The competition took place on Saturday, July 23 in Marhkam, Ontario. Grace took part in the most competitive age group and stood her ground very well. She stormed the national Wushu scene and finished 6th overall. We are all proud of you Grace and commend you for representing the entire province of Saskatchewan. Well done!
