Coach Lindsay

Coach Lindsay has been part of the Chinese Martial Arts Academy community since 2006. Before joining the Academy, she trained in Karate and Kickboxing, and she has continued to expand her martial arts experience through training in a variety of Chinese martial arts styles.

Over the years, Lindsay has trained in Chang Quan, Daoshu, Qiangshu, and Jianshu. She is a former Western Canadian Kickboxing Champion and has earned championship titles at several open martial arts competitions throughout Western Canada. She has also competed at international open martial arts competitions.

Lindsay has been leading the Academy’s recreational Wushu programming for more than 15 years. With extensive experience working with both children and adults, she is passionate about creating classes where students can learn, grow, and have fun in a supportive environment.

As a coach, Lindsay brings a warm and family-focused approach to her teaching. She understands that every student learns differently and works to help each person feel comfortable while building their skills and confidence.

For Lindsay, martial arts is about more than competition. It is about creating a welcoming community where families can be active together, students can challenge themselves at their own pace, and everyone can experience the enjoyment and benefits of martial arts.
