Coach Nick has been training in martial arts for approximately 14 years and has competed in a wide variety of martial arts competitions throughout his training. During his teenage years, he competed at various regional and national-level open martial arts competitions, gaining valuable experience through competing against athletes from different backgrounds and disciplines.
Most recently, Nick competed at the Canadian National Championships, where he became a gold medalist in the Traditional Weapons division. His years of training and competition have helped him develop both his technical skills and his understanding of the dedication and preparation required to perform at a high level.
As a coach, Nick especially enjoys seeing students become proud of their own improvement. He believes that watching a student recognize how far they have come is one of the most rewarding parts of coaching.
For Nick, coaching is about helping students develop their skills while giving them the opportunity to experience the same sense of accomplishment that comes from seeing their hard work pay off.
