Taolu Program

This is the program that started it all.

Fighting Forms (Taolu) is the foundation of our gym and the heart of our Chinese Martial Arts program. Combining strength, speed, balance, power, agility, flexibility, and rhythm, Taolu is one of the most dynamic and visually exciting martial arts disciplines in the world. Rooted in traditional Kung Fu, it features powerful techniques, explosive movements, and impressive jumps, spins, and acrobatics made famous by action stars such as Jet Li (Fearless), Donnie Yen (Ip Man), and Jackie Chan.

Students learn a wide variety of traditional and modern routines, including barehanded forms and weapons such as Long Fist, Southern Fist, Broadsword, Straightsword, Spear, and Staff. Whether you're just beginning or looking to compete, our experienced coaches provide energetic, supportive instruction that helps every athlete build confidence while developing strong technical skills.

Beyond the training floor, our Fighting Forms team proudly represents our gym throughout the community. Our athletes have performed at some of Saskatoon's largest cultural celebrations and community events, including Folkfest, Lunar New Year, and Rock Your Roots, sharing the excitement and artistry of Chinese martial arts with thousands of spectators.

Using a progressive curriculum, we help students build a solid foundation in Chinese Martial Arts while improving overall fitness, coordination, flexibility, strength, speed, power, balance, and discipline. This commitment to excellence has helped our athletes achieve success at provincial, national, and international competitions. We are also proud to be the only school in Saskatchewan to have athletes represent Canada as members of the Canadian National Wushu Team.
